Inter Considering Four Candidates to Replace Simone Inzaghi
After suffering a heavy loss in the Champions League final, Inter Milan is preparing for significant changes. The top priority is resolving the coaching situation. According to reports from the Italian media, a meeting between the club's management and current head coach Simone Inzaghi is scheduled to take place within the next few hours to determine his future at the club.
It’s worth noting that Inzaghi has a lucrative offer on the table from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal. Many sources claim the 49-year-old is seriously considering leaving Inter.
In the event of Inzaghi’s departure, CEO Beppe Marotta is reportedly considering four potential replacements. The leading candidate is Cesc Fàbregas, currently the head coach of Como. Also on the shortlist are Cristian Chivu, Roberto De Zerbi, and Patrick Vieira.
As of now, Inter has not begun official negotiations with any of these managers. However, if Inzaghi decides to step down, discussions with the shortlisted candidates are expected to begin promptly.
A final decision regarding Simone Inzaghi’s future is expected within the next 24 to 48 hours. The decisive meeting between the coach and the club’s leadership is set to take place on June 3 in Milan.
